A little bit about me

My name is Ally Trevino.  I’m a life-long Tejana, born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley and now based in Austin, TX.  My biggest inspiration comes from traveling and forming meaningful connections with people from other cultures and lifestyles. I truly believe the best way to come up with big, world-changing solutions is to start with small, impactful ideas. I’m constantly learning new things and love meeting people who are motivated and unafraid of sharing their ideas to make this world a better place.

As an educator, developing individualized learning solutions for those with learning challenges, I became fascinated with the way my students think, feel, and behave – and how digital products could help them learn and live more fulfilling lives.

This fascination led me to the world of UX and I began my journey to earn my associate’s degree in the field of User Experience Design from Austin Community College. I’m passionate about helping people and love to see everyone succeed. Having built my foundations in the disciplines of Speech Pathology, Education, and now UX, it’s only natural that I’m drawn to the more empathetic, sensible aspects of design. I’m confident in the solid foundation that my courses provided and as a lifelong-learner, I’m ready to join a team to grow my skills in designing accessible and meaningful user-centric experiences.

When I’m not designing, you can find me playing soccer, practicing yoga, or perfecting vegan recipes.
